Simon Pearce

Glass artisan Simon Pearce grew up in Ireland in a household where attention to detail and aesthetics were part of the everyday experience. He apprenticed in his father's pottery studio at age 16 ad began to study in glass workshops across Europe. When Simon arrived in America more than four decades ago, he brought a deep reverence for the craft of making glass and pottery objects by hand. He sought to replicate those traditions here, establishing a workshop in Vermont that, to this day, uses centuries old techniques and the finest natural materials.
